HTET Syllabus for Primary Teacher, TGT and PGT Session 2015-16

The exam pattern for various categories such as Primary Teacher (PRT),  Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) and Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) are given below…

HTET Syllabus for PRT, TGT & PGT:

Exam Duration- 2:30 Hrs.

For Primary Teacher- Students face only one paper with 150 MCQs (Multiple Choice Questions) which carry one mark with four alternatives. The content under MCQs is-

  1. Child Development and Pedagogy ->30 MCQs->30 Marks
  2. Language I (Hindi) ->30 MCQs->30 Marks
  3. Language II (English)->30 MCQs->30 Marks
  4. Mathematics->30 MCQs->30 Marks
  5. Environmental Studies->30 MCQs->30 Marks

For Trained Graduate Teacher- Students face only one paper with 150 MCQs (Multiple Choice Questions) which carry one mark with four alternatives. The content under MCQs is-

1. Child Development and Pedagogy (Compulsory) 30 MCQs 30 Marks
2.  Language I (English) (Compulsory) 30 MCQs 30 Marks
3. Language II (Hindi/Sanskrit/Panjabi/Urdu- Choose any one) 30 MCQs 30 Marks
4. (a) For Mathematics and Science Teacher Mathematics and Science
60 MCQs 60 Marks
4. (b) For Social Studies teacher Social Studies
60 MCQs 60 Marks
4. (c) For Hindi/ English/ Sanskrit/Panjabi/Urdu/Home Science/ Physical Education/Art/ Music Teacher Choose either 4 (a) OR 4 (b)
60 MCQs 60 Marks

For Post Graduate Teacher (PGT)- Students face only one paper with 150 MCQs (Multiple Choice Questions) which carry one mark with four alternatives. The content under MCQs is-

  1. Child Development and Pedagogy (Compulsory)->30 MCQs->30 Marks
  2. Language I (Hindi) (Compulsory)->30 MCQs->30 Marks
  3. Language II (English) (Compulsory)->30 MCQs->30 Marks
  4. Subject Specific->30 MCQs ->30 Marks

Qualifying Marks for PRT, TGT and PGT is-

  1. For UN-Reserved  and OBC category candidates – 60% (90 Marks)
  2. For SC/ST/PWD category candidates- 55% (83 Marks)
  3. For SC/ST/PWD/GEN category candidates of Other states- 60% (90 Marks)
